S3 Investment and Redwood Capital open Hong Kong office
US China-focused investor S3 Investment Company, Inc, said that it has established a Hong Kong office, aiming to support the expansion of its subsidiary Redwood Capital, and to grow the group’s business in China.
The new office will underpin the work of its private equity fund, The Redwood Asia Fund, LP. Redwood Capital claims to assist private Chinese companies in accessing North American capital markets by using a network of investment banking relationships to achieve reverse merger transactions.
S3 Investment Chairman and CEO Jim Bickel said that the group's focus on Redwood Capital, The Redwood Asia Fund, and Redwood Medical also provides the impetus to undertake a planned re-branding of S3 under the Redwood name.
