Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co. has become the latest leading private equity firm to tap into India's infrastructure sector, with an INR217 crore ($49 million) pre-IPO investment into Avantha Power & Infrastructure Ltd., a division of the $4 billion Avantha Group, for a 9% stake, according to Indian reports.
