
VantagePoint invests in MYFP Wealth Management
VantagePoint Capital Partners has invested an undisclosed sum in Beijing MYFP Wealth Management. This is MYFP's first institutional investment placement and VantagePoint’s first investment in China’s financial services sector.
MYFP offers professional and personal financial advice to Chinese individuals and families. The firm launched in 2004 and currently has four offices in Beijing, with plans to expand to other major cities in China later this year. MYFP and VantagePoint also intend to introduce a strategic investor in MYFP in the coming months, and team up with leading international wealth managers to strengthen the company's position in China's burgeoning wealth management market.
VantagePoint specializes in the financial services, energy and IT industries, and has strengthened its focus on targets in the ‘FinTech' space, which covers assets related to both the TMT and financial services segments. VantagePoint claims $4.5 billion of committed capital.
VantagePoint is headquartered in Silicon Valley and has offices in Hong Kong and Beijing. The firm has invested in more than 70 companies including BrightSource Energy, MiaSolé, Liquid Robotics, Solazyme, Tesla Motors and Tendril.
