Unitas, CCMP hold Edwards listing
One month after Unitas Capital and CCMP Capital announced that their British vacuum-parts brand Edwards Group would list in the UK, the private equity owners have reportedly called the process off to await more stable market conditions.
Edwards Group, a supplier of integrated solutions for the manufacture of microelectronics devices, initially targeted GBP1.5 billion ($2.5 billion) in its market debut. However, new research suggests that it would likely garner a lower figure in the range of GBP1 billion ($1.6 billion), Reuters reported.
Last month, the UK's Telegraph reported that Edwards' backers aimed to list at least 25% of the company. Edwards was privatized by the British Oxygen Company, later rebranded as BOC Group, 43 years ago, before being bought by Asia-based Unitas and CCMP.
