India's Rezolve.ai secures $11m Series A

SIG Venture Capital has led a USD 11m Series A round for Rezolve.ai, a US and India-based start-up that applies conversational artificial intelligence (AI) to human resources services.
Exfinity Venture Partners and existing investors 9Unicorns and Tri-Valley Ventures also joined the round. Indian incubator and accelerator Venture Catalysts provided a seed round of less than USD 1m in 2020.
Rezolve describes itself as a service desk for employees and employers that provides a “ChatGPT-like” experience. The aim is to provide IT and HR support instantly and automatically without human intervention.
ChatGPT is a chatbot known for human-like conversations and learning abilities developed by OpenAI, a Microsoft-affiliated lab. It is regarded as a pioneer in generative AI, a branch of AI that is able to create new content as opposed to simply making predictions.
Rezolve's technology, which is compatible with workplace platforms such as Microsoft Teams and Slack, is also positioned as an employee engagement platform.
Features include knowledge management, smart ticketing and triaging, conversational microlearning, push notifications, desktop automation, live expert connections, routine task automation, and workflow approvals.
“When an organization uses traditional service desk or legacy software, employees must wait 12-24 hours or more to resolve their issues. Now that we are in 2023, it's high time to say goodbye to the 20-year-old legacy model of creating tickets and waiting for support,” CEO Saurabh Kumar said in a statement.
“With its intelligent automation capability, Rezolve.ai ensures that employees get the right support at the right time, avoiding delay.”
Voice recognition AI is increasingly being applied to areas such as HR, IT support, sales, after-sales services, and education, with a view to increasing efficiencies and collecting data for user behaviour predictions. The advent of sophisticated chatbots, such as ChatGPT, has fuelled both opportunism and concerns around cybersecurity.
