MSA leads $15.7m round for Wozaijia

Wozaijia, a Xiamen-based e-commerce platform for furniture and home decor products, has raised more than RMB100 million ($ 15.7 million) in a Series A round led by MSA Capital, 36Kr and ITjuzi reported. Capital Today and Sky9 Capital also participated. Proceeds will be reinvested in a warehousing system, overseas supply chains, and platform product diversification.

APICloud secures $15.7m from Fosun

APICloud, a Beijing-based cross-platform mobile app developer, has secured RMB100 million ($15.7 million) in a Series B round from Fosun Group, 36Kr reported. The company plans to use the capital in part for a team expansion. It currently employs about 180 people compared to about 70 last year.

IDG leads Series B for SpeakIn

SpeakIn, a Shenzhen-based developer of voice recognition and ID security technology, has raised almost RMB100 million ($15.7 million) in a Series B round led by IDG Capital, according to Smart.huanqiu.com. Core technologies focus on emotion and gender detection, as well as voice recognition, comparison, and verification.

Horus makes strategic investment in B-Villa

B-Villa, a Wuhan-based manufacturer of prefabricated building components, has received a strategic investment of RMB100 million ($15.7 million) from Horus Capital, according to Toutiao and ITjuzi. The company’s products enable shorter construction periods, decreased environmental impact, reduced debris, and improved reusability of materials.

CDH Investments leads $10m round for ForwardX

ForwardX, a Beijing-based robot company that makes autonomous luggage, has raised $10 million in a Series A-plus round led by CDH Investments with the participation of Eastern Bell Venture Capital, 36Kr reported. ForwardX makes the Ovis, a piece of luggage that can automatically follower its owner at a speed of 6.2 miles per hour.

Orchid Asia leads $10m round for Yalla

Yalla, a Shenzhen-based social entertainment platform, has secured $10 million in a Series B round led by Orchid Asia Group with the participation of SIG, 36Kr reported. Palm Capital served as financial advisor.

Chic Yuanzui gets $8m Series B led by Meridian

Chic Yuanzui, a Beijing-based internet media platform that aims to improve the social skills of women, has raised RMB50 million ($7.8 million) in a Series B round led by Meridian Capital, Chinaventure reported. Qianhai FoF and Weiying Capital also participated.

Evershine leads $6m round for BBDTek

BBDTek, a Beijing-based provider of digital solutions and cloud computing products for enterprises, has raised RMB40 million ($6.3 million) in a Series A-plus round led by Evershine Capital, Iyiou reported. The capital will be used for R&D of enterprise cloud computing products.

Legend backs personal care e-commerce site

Nattitude, an online retailer of shampoo and skin care products based in Guangzhou, has raised a Series B round of undisclosed size led by Legend Capital, 36Kr reported. Matrix Partners China and Frees Fund also participated. The proceeds will be mainly used to expand the company’s offering with new products.

Xinpai joins $5m angel round for Zhuafan

Zhuafan, a Beijing-based content platform that uses blockchain technology to broadcast short videos, has raised a $5 million angel round with participation from Xinpai Capital, according to Jieman.

MelleTech secures Series A led by B.glen

MelleTech, a Shenzhen-based developer of a cosmetic face mask product called Skin Film, has secured a Series A round of undisclosed size led by cosmetics technology company B.glen, 36Kr reported. The capital will be used for R&D and product line expansion. Skin Film uses a mobile app to monitor the condition of the user’s skin for moisture, oil, and pigment.

Youku backs Series A for Stand-up Comedy

Stand-up Comedy, a Beijing-based platform for live stand-up comedy performances and promotions, has secured a Series A round of undisclosed size from Youku, according to ITjuzi and Jiemodui. Following the completion of the transaction, Youku will hold a 25% stake in the company.

Zheshang joins round for radio app for Qingka FM

Qingka FM, a Hangzhou-based operator of a live radio app that helps users manage personal relationships and make friends, has secured a Series A round of undisclosed size from Zheshang Venture Capital, according to the company’s founder.

Microvcard gets Series A from ZhenFund, IDG

Microvcard, a Beijing-based social networking company, has raised RMB12.5 million ($2 million) in a Series A round from ZhenFund, IDG Capital and Maimai.cn, 36Kr and ITjuzi reported. The company enables business people to make, send and receive electronic business cards in face-to-face or virtual settings. It also offers business card information storage and management.
