China’s Cloudwise raises $26m from VCs
CBC Capital has led a $26 million Series C round for Cloudwise, a Beijing-based application performance management (APM) solutions provider, with participation from SIG Asia and Sequoia Capital China.
The new funding will be used to scale up Cloudwise's business and expand its sales and marketing teams.
The company offers enterprise clients customized end-to-end application performance measurement, monitoring, and management solutions. It claims to have served 300,000 corporates across multiple fields including technology, financial services, manufacturing, energy, and government. Xiaomi, Huawei Technologies, and Sina Corporation are among its users.
The company previously raised three rounds of funding, according to AVCJ Research. Gobi Partners contributed $3 million in a Series A round in 2013, followed by a $15 million Series B led by Sequoia in 2014. Sequoia then re-upped in an extended Series B round one year later, which was worth $13 million.
Cloudwise competes with its peers such as Tingyun and OneAPM. One AMP raised a total of RMB235 million ($34 million) across two rounds between 2014 and 2015 from investors including Chengwei Capital, Matrix Partner China and Qiming Venture Partners. The company listed on the National Equities Exchange and Quotations (NEEQ), also known as New Third Board, last year.
