
China mobile app testing platform Testin raises $30m
Testin, a China-based mobile app testing service provider, has completed a $30 million round of funding led by an undisclosed US dollar-denominated venture fund.
Founded in 2011, the company provides a series of cloud-based testing services to mobile app developers. Since inception, it claims to have run tests for more than 1.8 million apps created by over 750,000 developers. It has centers in Beijing and Guangzhou, and expanded into Hong Kong and the US last year.
According to AVCJ Research, IDG Capital Partners provided two rounds of funding for the company between 2011 and 2012. In 2014, Banyan Capital led a further round, with participation from IDG. Last year, Haiyin Venture Partners, Banyan and IDG jointly invested $54.9 million in Testin.
The new capital will be used to accelerate Testin's global expansion, as well as to upgrade its technology and products, the company's CEO Kun Xu told local media.
