
Japan’s J-Star promotes two to partner
Japanese GP J-Star has promoted Yuki Kashiyama, an investment professional in the operating team, and Tomoko Ando, who works in the administration team, to partners.
Kashiyama joined J-Star since 2014, and he has been involved in three value-added activities for portfolio companies in the industrial, information and communication sectors. Prior to joining J-Star, he worked at Boston Consulting Group, and founded a biotechnology company in the US.
Ando joined J-Star in 2009. She previously worked at major accounting firm and real estate management company J-REIT.
Founded in 2006, the Japanese mid-market focused buyout firm has invested in 28 companies in consumer, services, healthcare, environmental, and manufacturing industries through two funds.
