
China third-party insurance platform Hzins raises $30m
Hzins.com, a Chinese third-party insurance service provider, has raised RMB200 million ($30 million) in a Series B round of funding from domestic GPs including Beijing Wanrong Times Capital and Shenzhen CDF-Capital.
Lakala, an offline third-party payment services provider owned by Legend Holdings, also participated in the round, according to a statement.
Founded in 2006, Hzins is a one-stop, technology-driven insurance service platform. It sells products supplied by more than 70 insurance companies and also provides risk assessment and insurance claims assistance. Hzins claims to have more than 2,000 registered users, comprising individuals and enterprises.
The company raised $10 million from SAIF Partners in 2014, according to AVCJ Research. With the new funding, Hzins plans to improve its existing product offerings, develop big data technology and built out its team.
Founded in 2013, Beijing Wanrong operates across asset management and private equity, with the latter focusing on the culture and sport, financial services, healthcare and technology sectors. Shenzhen CDF-Capital, which has more than RMB3.5 billion in assets, targets new materials, cleantech, technology and healthcare.
