
ChrysCapital invests $63m in US IT consulting firm Infogain
ChrysCapital has invested $63 million in Infogain, an Silicon Valley-based IT consulting firm, in exchange for a majority stake in the business.
Infogain offers front-end, customer-facing IT services across high-tech, retail and insurance verticals. The firm specializes in areas such as software product engineering, service automation and mobility. It employs over 2000 people operating across the USA, Europe, the Middle East, Asia Pacific and India.
The company claims to have more than doubled its revenue over the past five years, with a 90% customer retention rate and growth rates 50% higher than the industry average. According to a release, Infogain will use the investment to broaden its offerings, pursue strategic acquisitions, expand into new markets and expand its workforce.
"Infogain has demonstrated industry leading growth rates, while building significant differentiation in the software product engineering and new-age, digital service lines," said Sanjay Kukreja, managing director at ChrysCapital. "The company, with its strong leadership, talented employees, and outstanding customer base, is an ideal platform to build further scale through a combination of organic growth and strategic acquisitions."
Set up in 1999, ChrysCapital manages around $2.5 billion across six funds, and has made over 70 investments. It is one of the more prolific investors in the IT services space. Previous acquisitions include HCL Technologies, LiquidHub, KPIT Technologies, Cyient, Mphasis and Spectramind.
