Adveq hires first China head
Swiss fund-of-funds Adveq has appointed Ron Li as head of China, in a bid to develop its private equity and real assets offering in the country.
Li, who will be based in Beijing, joined Adveq as a managing director in early January. Prior to that, Li worked for Legend Holdings in China where he established Raycom Real Estate Asset Management. Before joining Raycom, he worked for Legend's private equity unit, Hony Capital.
"Adveq's investment activities in Asia date back to 1998 and our presence in Beijing and Shanghai underscores the strategic importance we place on China," said Sven Lidén, CEO of Adveq.
Founded in 1997, Adveq currently manages over $5 billion in assets. It has invested in more than 400 funds and its client base comprises institutional investors such as pension funds, insurance companies, family offices and other financial institutions located in Europe, North America and the Asia-Pacific region.
It currently has offices in Zurich, Frankfurt, New York, Beijing, Shanghai and Hong Kong, as well as a representative office in Sydney.
