Singapore's Jungle Ventures invests in Mobikon
Jungle Ventures has led a $ 1.7 million round of investment in Mobikon Asia, a Singapore-India start-up that provides an integrated digital marketing platform to help hospitality and retail clients connect with consumers.
Angel investors are also participating in the funding, including Ravi Mantha, a member of the board of trustees at The Indus Entrepreneurs.
Founded in 2009, Mobikon has grown from a team of three people to more than 28 people across India and Singapore. Konekt, the company's flagship product, matches over 100 clients such as hotels, restaurants and spas to end-users across India, South East Asia, Africa and Australia.
"We will use new funds to increase sales and business development activities in geographies that are showing tremendous potential for our products and services," CEO Samir Khadepaun said.
Singapore-based Jungle Ventures provides early-stage investments to startups across Singapore, India and South East Asia. The venture capital firm currently has $15 million in assets under management. It also operates a seed fund and incubator in Singapore and India, focused on angel level investments.
