International law firm Dechert has announced that Paul Weidong Wang has joined the firm’s corporate practice as a partner in Beijing.
Prior to the appointment, Wang was a partner at DeHeng Law Offices where he served as the head of venture capital and private equity. He focused on representing clients in a variety of private and public offerings of common and preferred stock, convertible securities and debt securities.
"I have known Paul for the last several years and he has a well-established private equity practice. Dechert's worldwide PE capacity will be well complemented by Paul's practice," said Jingzhou Tao, managing partner responsible for developing the Asia Practice of the firm.
Wang also participates in mergers and acquisitions and represents clients in a variety of industries, including the healthcare, technology, education, energy, finance and real estate sectors.
"Paul adds additional depth to our Beijing team and his arrival is a critical step forward to what we have been looking to build in China," said Henry Wang, head of the firm's Beijing office.
