
Dubow rejoins A&M as co-head of Asia
Alvarez & Marsal (A&M), an independent global services firm specializing in performance improvement, turnaround management and business advisory services, has appointed James Dubow as a managing director and co-head of Asia.
Dubow, who returns to A&M after five years he left, will be responsible for businesses in Greater China and across Asia.
The new Asia co-head has until now focused on boosting stakeholder value in both distressed and high growth situations and has experience in working across a wide range of industries including banking, healthcare, telecommunications, energy and manufacturing.
Over the past five years, Dubow worked as chief financial officer of an energy company that develops and runs businesses across Asia. He assisted the company with its growth strategy following its acquisition by a private equity consortium, prepared the company for listing on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange
"I am very happy to rejoin A&M, whose regional and global resources are an excellent platform to provide private equity firms, lenders and corporations assistance with achieving the best results from the businesses in which they invest," said Dubow.
"Dubow‘s first hand experience as a CFO of a large energy company with pan-Asia operations is very relevant to many of the opportunities that we're seeing with our clients," added Oliver Stratton, managing director and co-head of A&M Asia.
Founded in 1983, A&M has been operating in Asia since 2003 and has offices in Hong Kong, Shanghai and Beijing as well as Mumbai.
