Baird Capital makes joint investment in Chinese scaffolding business
Baird Capital Partners Asia (BCPA), the China-focused growth equity investment arm of Baird Private Equity, has teamed with Schulze Global Investments to back the Beijing ADG Scaffolding Engineering Co. (ADG).
The investment's value has not been released. ADG rents scaffolding equipment and services, such as engineering design, assembly and disassembly, to China's construction industry. The investment comes as China's rapid economic growth has facilitated a robust infrastructure industry. The size of the country's scaffolding market has specifically been pegged at $550 million, and is said to grow at twice China’s annual GDP growth rate.
Baird Private Equity, the global private equity group of Robert W. Baird & Co. (Baird), makes venture capital, growth equity and buyout investments in smaller, high-potential companies in the US, Europe and China.
