Helion Venture leads $6 million Komli Media India deal
Helion Venture Partners, Nexus Venture Partners and Draper Fisher Jurvetson India have infused an additional $6 million into digital ad network Komli Media India Pvt. Ltd.
Helion Venture Partners reportedly led the fundraising round. The three firms are all existing investors in Komli Media, as they contributed $7 million in Series A funding for the company in 2008. Helion reportedly classifies the $6 million investment as an additional round of financing, and not a Series B investment.
Komli Media reportedly aims to use the financing to expand in Asia Pacific, with a focus on Singapore, the Philippines and Malaysia. The company claims to represent more than 1,500 websites, including popular domains Facebook, Expedia and Bloomberg. It last month acquired affiliate advertising network PostClick as part of its expansion efforts.
